What are the key components of a Leaf Blower?

Engine - Most leaf blowers use a 2 cycle engine to power the fan.  Typical engines require regular maintenance on their air filters, fuel filters, spark plugs and mufflers. Blowers are also available in electric versions.  Corded electric leaf blowers use an electric motor to drive the fan.  Cordless leaf blowers use a DC motor to drive the fan.

Motor - Electric Leaf blowers use DC motors to rotate the centrifugal fan.

Fan - Leaf blowers use centrifugal fans to create air pressure.

Battery - Cordless blowers use a battery to power the DC motor which drives the centrifugal fan to create air pressure.

Nozzle - the nozzle directs the air from the centrifugal fan.
